ABOUT

MADISON BAKER IS…

a Philadelphia-raised, Boston-based theatre artist with training and experience in performance, direction, stage management, and theatre administration. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Boston College with minors in Environmental Studies and Dance. As a biracial Jewish artist, Madison’s favorite form of activism is storytelling. She is interrogative with her work and rigorous in her practice.

Madison became a theatre artist at the age of 5 and has not slowed down since. She seeks learning opportunities wherever they are in the classroom (she studied Musical Theatre Performance at Harvard University) or in the field. She most recently Stage Managed Noah’s Flood, the enormous Community Opera with Boston Lyric Opera. Madison loves the many hats she wears and adding new ones where she can.

When she’s not in the theater, Madison can be found working on the mascot teams of the Boston Bruins and the Boston Red Sox. She never thought she’d go pro after finishing her college career as Baldwin the Eagle, but she wouldn’t trade it for the world. She traveled nationally representing Boston College on a variety of stages (including one with Jason Derulo). Now TD Garden and Fenway Park have become homes to her.

Madison currently serves as the Assistant to the Associate Artistic Director at the American Repertory Theater at Harvard University. As a member of the Engagement and Artistic teams, she helps to sculpt season planning, programming, and projects.
